FAQs — Community Participation Supports

What is Community Participation Supports (CPS)?

Community Living Toronto has evolved from the “former Day Program” (Adult Development Program, Supported Work and Community Activities, Employment Training Services, Gooderham) concept to what is now referred to as “Community Participation Supports (CPS)” that is a more holistic reference to our model that now includes day, evening, and weekend options for community inclusion.

Within the new model of Community Participation Supports (CPS) at Community Living Toronto, we are evolving our supports and services to reflect the choices of people receiving supports, by offering them preferred and new experiences in their neighbourhoods. The pre and post pandemic landscape has changed and so have the needs. We are being agile and intentional with the program and supports being offered. With our strategic goal of putting people we support first, we will continue to grow based on the feedback from our customers and community.

How do I create an account on MyCommunityHub?

Take a look at this video for a step-by-step guide to create an account on MyCommunityHub.

When can I expect Experience Guides to come out? When can I register?

Experience guides come out one and a half months prior to the start of the new sessions.

Registration for funded spots begins one month prior to the start of the new season.

When does registration close?

The registration period ends one week prior to the start of programs. However, if you are interested in registering for a program after the registration period has ended, please connect with our CPS team at 647-729-2976 or cps@cltoronto.ca so we can assist with registration space, ratio permitting.

What are the ratios in programs?

All of our locations offer a variety of ratios. You will see 1:3, 1:5 or 1:8 ratio offerings at most locations. At this time, we do not offer 1:1 support.

I am residing at a CLTO supported living site and I used to attend CPS programs, now what?

You are still able to attend CPS programs with a CLTO supported living staff. CLTO Staff can also book spaces within the CPS locations to provide meaningful day activities. CLTO supported living staff are working to create engaging and person-centred schedules for all people residing at the home. Activities can include local community centre activities, CPS offerings, in house activities, and more.

I have Passport Funding, am I able to use it for CPS programs?

Yes! Any Fee for Service (FFS) program is deemed eligible for Passport Funding.
