City launches its new Disability Inclusion Action Plan
October is Disability Employment Awareness Month, the perfect time to share that the City has launched its new Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP) for 2025-2029.
The plan was shaped by wide-reaching consultations with staff and community members and sets out 85 concrete actions to make our programs, services, work and public spaces, and information more accessible and equitable for people with disabilities. It’s about removing barriers, supporting one another, and ensuring everyone can fully participate in city life.
